Michael grew up in Hamden, Connecticut and took an interest in film and video production at an early age. He attended Emerson College in Boston, MA from 2003 to 2007, graduating with a degree in Visual and Media Arts with a strong emphasis in editorial work and post-production. In addition to being lead editor for many short films and TV programs produced at the school, he also edited for every major student organization on campus, and he served as Post Production Supervisor for the College's 25th Annual EVVY Awards, the largest student-run awards show in the country.

He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he works at a post-production facility specializing in online editorial for some of today's top television programs including Fringe, Bones, Battlestar Galactica and 24. He has been a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild since 2008.
